Date of Online Entrance Test
Date: 29th August 2021
Timing: 10:00 am to 11:00 am (1-hour duration)
Type of questions: Multiple choice
Total no. of questions: 50 (2 marks for each correct answer). There will be no negative marking.
Admission to Ph.D. will be two stage Process:
- Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) and
- Personal Interview.
The entrance test for the Ph.D. programme shall be multiple choice questions for 100 marks (30 marks of General and 70 Marks of Applied Subject/Domain/Department Specific) and for the duration of one hour. The type of multiple-choice questions will follow the sample pattern of NET and GATE/GPAT.
For the applicants, a time-bound online entrance test will be arranged subject to its feasibility. The interview will be conducted online with the help of video call services subject to its feasibility.
The candidate must having knowledge to fulfill all the requirements of a Computer based test.
The candidate will on his own cost will appear the Computer based test either from home or any suitable place or on your discretion and maintain the sanity of Examination.
The Entrance Test shall be conducted through online platform Microsoft Team. Only Eligible candidates will get the detail procedure of Test through their mail/ As notified in advance in the University website.
The University will be not responsible for any kind power failure/low bandwidth/web browser compatibility/sudden shutdown of Computer or Mobile/etc. while a candidate appearing the Test.
University Reserves its right to cancel / extend the notified date of online test and Interview.
The candidate needs to score 40% (35%for SC/ST) marks in the entrance test to qualify for interview.
Date of Interviews: (Through video conferencing)
The interview process of the selected candidates will be conducted on 6th September 2021 from 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm through video conferencing by the concerned department.
Candidates provisionally admitted to the Ph.D. programme will be required to fill an “Enrollment Form” with details of their proposed field of research, research topic, and name of their guide, within 5 days after their admission, and send the same to the Office of Dean (Research & Development), through the Head of the concerned Department. The Enrollment Form will be available on the University website.
