Programme Objectives

Pedagogy

SBU has a firm belief in providing/rendering holistic education to develop competitive managerial skills and knowledge to the students. The programme is a right combination of traditional core finance subjects along with Stock Broking and Portfolio Management related subjects and emphasises on practical knowledge, being facilitated by a mix of known professionals from the industry as well as distinguished in-house faculty. Eligibility

10+2 with 45% marks in aggregate or its equivalent examination in any stream conducted by a recognized Board/ University / Council with English as one of the subject. (05% relaxation in marks in case of candidates belonging to ST/SC category).

Admission Process

Aspirants can apply online to here, they may also download the application form from the website of the University and submit it along with the relevant documents of the University, them may also walk down to the University campus along with relevant documents for counselling and further admission process.

Applicants may submit the application form and required documents at the Admission Office personally or by post. It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure that the application form is complete in all respects, and is accompanied by the required documents.

• Passing / Provisional Certificates along with Mark Sheets of the qualifying Examinations
• School/College leaving certificate last attended 
• Conduct Certificate 
• Anti-Ragging Affidavit 
• Medical Certificate issues by a registered medical practitioner (M.B.B.S)

Note: Students awaiting for their declaration of result can also apply and can also be considered for Admission. However, they have to submit the relevant supportive documents at the time of admission.

Selection Process

Selection of students for BBA - SBPM programme of Sarala Birla University, Ranchi is purely done on the basis of merit. However the University reserves the right of amending the admission and selection process.

The placement cell is credited for taking active participation in selection of companies visiting the University for Campus recruitment. It is supported by active placement committee members who have rich industry experience and valuable linkages in the corporate world. To make the students corporate ready as per the specific requirement of financial market, Stock Broking and Portfolio Management, bond market, stock market etc. and to enhance their employability additional efforts in terms of PDP sessions would also be empaneled in which students are trained for public speaking, presentations, self-assessment exercises etc.
