Grooming and Selection Rounds for the Renowned International Event Miss Universe
A workshop on "Grooming and Selection Rounds for the Renowned International Event Miss Universe" was held on March 9, 2025, at the G.D. Birla Auditorium of Sarala Birla University, Ranchi. The event, organized by BedX, Ranchi. Participated 100 female students from the university. The program sought to deliver extensive insights into the realm of pageantry, addressing grooming and selection criteria for Miss Universe while also elucidating diverse career prospects within the industry. The workshop began with an opening address highlighting the significance of grooming, personality development, and confidence enhancement in pageantry. Specialists from BedX, Ranchi, including Ms. Alisha Gautam Oraon and Mr. Arpit Kumar, imparted essential insights on industry standards, selection criteria, and the attributes necessary for success in the competitive arena of international beauty pageants. Additional officials from BedX attended to provide their expertise and insights, enhancing the session's educational value for the participants. The occasion was attended by distinguished faculty members and dignitaries from the university, including Dr. Ashok Asthana, Dr. Arohi Anand, Dr. Archana Maurya, Ms. Anjana Singh, Mr. Vishnu, Mr. Rahul Ranjan, Mr. Rudra and Mr. Ashish. Their participation underscored the university’s dedication to provide students possibilities beyond conventional academic disciplines, prompting them to investigate varied career avenues, such as modeling, fashion, and event management. Throughout the session, students were instructed on diverse elements of pageantry, encompassing catwalk methods, body language, communication skills, and personal styling. We dedicated a segment to interview preparation and Q & A sessions, which are crucial aspects of beauty pageants. Furthermore, students were provided with guidance on managing stage presence, alleviating anxiety, and exhibiting confidence, which are essential qualities in the realm of beauty and glamour. In addition to the technical facets of pageantry, the program also emphasized wider professional prospects. The speakers explored several opportunities within the pageant industry, including professional modeling, fashion consulting, grooming expertise, and event coordination. Students were urged to follow their passions and utilize their abilities in pertinent sectors such as media, entertainment, and brand ambassadorship.

Sarala Birla University proudly hosted a special program to celebrate International Women’s Day on 8th March 2025. The event highlighted the significance of this day and honoured the incredible contributions of women in all walks of life. The program was hosted by Dr. Priyanka Mishra, Assistant Professor, Department of English, in the esteemed presence of our Hon’ble Director General Prof. Gopal Pathak, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. C. Jeganathan, and other distinguished dignitaries, including, Prof. Neelima Pathak, Dr. Pankaj Kumar Goswami, Dr. Arvind Bhandari, Mr. Ajay Kumar, Dr. Subani Bara, Mr. Ashutosh Dwivedi, Dr. R.M. Jha, Dr. Ria Mukherjee along with all faculty members. The event began with a warm welcome speech by Dr. Swati Lekha Mahato. Hon’ble Director General Prof. Gopal Pathak, and Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. C. Jeganathan and Dr. Pankaj Goswami, Prof. Neelima Pathak, Dr. Arvind Bhandari, Dr. Subani Bara, Mr. Ashutosh Dwivedi, Dr. R.M. Jha shared their insightful views on the occasion. Poems on Women upliftment were presented by Dr. Archana Maurya and Mrs. Namrata Singh. ✨ The highlight of the event was a powerful speech by Dr. Priyanka Mishra on "It’s Not Easy to Be a Woman." She beautifully portrayed the struggles and resilience of working women—who juggle multiple roles with strength and grace, overcoming countless challenges each day. To inspire the audience, a short video on Arunima Sinha—India’s first amputee to scale Mount Everest and a national volleyball player—was screened, leaving everyone motivated and in awe of her determination.

Pharma Anveshan 2025
Pharmacy Department of Sarala Birla University, Ranchi organised ‘Pharma Anveshan 2025’ on National Pharmacy Education Day (6th March, 2025). The event was graced by special guest Mrs. Ritu Sahay, Director, State Drugs Control Directorate emphasizing India playing a crucial role in the global supply of generic medicines. During COVID-19, they provided vaccines to the world, and in recent years, government initiatives have further boosted pharmaceutical production. She also focussed on the importance of modern pharmaceutical advancements. She encouraged students to enhance their skills using modern techniques and congratulated the University’s Pharmacy Department for being the only institution in Jharkhand selected for this prestigious event. Dr. Rakeshwar Bandichhor (VP, Dr. Reddy’s Lab), Dr. Akash Ved (Central Council Member, PCI), Dr. V. Prakash (Professor, BIT Mesra), and Mr. Jai Ganesh AS (GM, Samira Innopharm) also graced the occasion as eminent speakers who shared their valuable insights in different perspectives related to pharmacy. Hon’ble Director General, Prof. Gopal Pathak, highlighted entrepreneurship opportunities in pharmacy, while Vice Chancellor, Prof. C. Jeganathan, spoke on the fundamental role of pharmacy in education. The event began with a welcome note by Dr. Shubhrajit Mantri, and ended with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Nisha Singh. The event witnessed the presence of esteemed faculty, university officials, and students in large numbers. Best wishes were also conveyed by Sri. B. K. Perspective on Research and Innovation
Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication, Sarala Birla University, successfully organized an ‘Expert Talk’ on “To Know Sports Journalism” on 25th February 2025 in collaboration with Institution Innovation Council, Sarala Birla University. The eminent speaker of the session was Mr. Ajay Kukreti, Deputy News Editor, Sports, Hindustan Ranchi. Dean Ajay Kumar, introduced the students to the expert guest, summarizing the achievements of expert Ajay Kukreti’s career and skills. Further in the session, sharing his long and glorious experience in the field of sports journalism, Mr. Kukreti informed the students about sports journalism as a profession and its relevancy. While raising awareness about career-building in the field of sports journalism, he also discussed the challenges and opportunities of the sports beat in Print Journalism. The style of writing and reporting in sports journalism were also discussed. Through this, students not only learned about the significance of sports journalism but also understood its relevance in today’s digital journalism era. The session was totally interactive where journalism students enthusiastically asked him various questions related to sports journalism and report writing skills. The expert elaborated in detail about the preparation before reporting, story ideas, news writing, and the importance of sources and follow-ups in sports reporting. In this event, UG and PG students from the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication, HoD Sudhir Kumar and Faculty Dr. Nandini Sinha was present.

FinEcon quiz competition
Faculty of Commerce, Sarala Birla University successfully organised FinEcon quiz competition on the Union Budget 2025 on 24th February 2025 in A1-603 and Amphitheatre. Hon'ble Vice chancellor Dr. C Jeganathan, Registrar Dr. V.K.Singh, Dean of Faculty of Commerce, Dr. Sandeep Kumar, the faculty members and students were present in the event. Dr. Sandeep Kumar welcomed all and briefed about the event. Hon'ble VC, SBU addressed the students and talked about different aspects of the budget. In his speech he talked about how budget is related with agrarian society of India, sustainable development and income of the middle class people. He blessed all students and gave his best wishes to all. This FinEcon quiz was conducted in three stages. The first stage was speech competition where participants delivered their views on budget 2025-26 and 12 best candidates were selected for second stage. Second stage followed with a debate round. Students were divided into two teams and a topic 'The Union budget of 2025 supports the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047' was given to them. Top 8 best candidates were selected for final quiz round. After qualifying all the rounds, 1st position was bagged by Bhaiya Ayush Sinha, followed by Avishake Das at second and Shubhangi at third position respectively. The event was hosted by Ms. LG Honey Singh, Mr Shreya bharti, Mr. Suyash Prabhakar and Ms.Sweta Kumari. The event was concluded on positive note, with vote of thanks given by Dr. Mukesh Babu Gupta. With the efforts of all the faculty members of Faculty of Commerce, the event on Budget, FinEcon for the in-depth knowledge of Union Budget was successfully conducted.

Perspective on Research and Innovation
A workshop on the topic of “Perspective on Research and Innovation” was organized at G.D. Birla Auditorium in Sarala Birla University on Saturday, February 22. The Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. C. Jeganathan took the initiative to organize this workshop in which he provided valuable insights into preparing effective research and project proposals and understanding their essential components. The workshop was aimed at inspiring and motivating the faculty members for research and innovation. In his address, Prof. C. Jeganathan shared his experience and achievements related to research, making the faculty members aware of the possibilities of research in various fields. While discussing the preface of skill, character and leadership, he emphasized the need to empower students in higher education in the field of science and technology. He explained science, research, innovation, engineering and entrepreneurship by giving many inspiring audio-visual examples. While elaborating on Bloom’s Taxonomy in academics, he discussed ways to implement it at the UG, PG and Ph.D. levels. He also discussed about the hot and important areas of research and innovation around the world. Also he showed the India’s status while talking about the achievements related to research, citation, and innovation from various countries. He suggested what kind of work and strategies we should adopt to move forward.

Raising Awareness about Gynecological Health
A holistic event organized by Sarala Birla University regarding health awareness related to women’s problem. The program was successfully implemented by the organizers. The session was addressed by “Dr. Amulya Swati”, a famous gynecologist and obstetrics of Medanta hospital, Ranchi. The program was featured on the various valuable insights including reproductive health, menstrual hygiene, PCOS, mental health, yoga, Adolescent and youth. Whole session was informative and interactive. The discuss was intended through power point presentation. Dr. Swati was very much kind to throughout the session, her behavior enlightened the ceremony. There was interaction between the girl’s student and the gynaecologist. Attendees appreciated the doctor’s approachable Demeanour, clear Communication and willingness to address individual concerns with patience and expertise.

मातृभाषा दिवस

International Day of Women and Girls in Science
The prestigious Vigyan Vidushi: Celebration of International Day of Women and Girls in Science program was organized by Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences in association with Institution’s Innovation Council, Sarala Birla University, Ranchi to inspire and empower young women pursuing careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). This event aimed to bridge the gender gap in science by providing mentorship, advanced training, and networking opportunities for aspiring women. The event's chief guest was Dr. Neelima Pathak, Dean of the Faculty of Linguistics at Sarala Birla University. She spoke about the foundations of science and the contributions of Indian women scientists and researchers. Her address emphasized the underrepresentation of women in science despite them making up nearly half of the population. She highlighted the importance of recognizing and celebrating women's achievements. While government initiatives like "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" exist, she stressed that their true impact will be realized only when society actively supports and encourages women, starting at the family level.

Empower Your Commerce Career: The Faculty of Commerce, Sarala Birla University, Ranchi, in collaboration with G-Tech Computer Education and Tally successfully conducted an expert talk on “Empower Your Commerce Career”, for B. Com. (VI-Semester) students. The resource persons for the session were Mr. Arun Nair, Director & Mr. Chetan Johar , Founder (G-Tech Computer Education) and Mr. Priya Ranjan, who shared their valuable insights and expertise with the students. The session aimed to enhance students’ career growth and employability in the accounting and finance domain. The East Zone Chess Championship (Men) 2024-25
The East Zone Chess Championship (Men) 2024-25 organized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) was inaugurated today at the Sarla Birla University campus. More than 180 participants from 26 universities are participating in this tournament which will run till February 8.
The chief guest of the program, Dr. Baljeet Singh Sekhon, Joint Secretary, AIU, in his address on this occasion welcomed all the participants and members of the organizing committee present on behalf of AIU and wished them all the best. Praising the tireless efforts of the committee members to make this competition a success, he expressed hope that in the coming time SBU will be able to organize a national level competition. Referring to the youngest champion of Indian chess, he also expressed hope that similar champions will emerge from this competition.

The resource persons for the session were Dr. Vishnu Kanth, Mr. Falguni Ray (Ex-Banker) and Mr. Anjan Kundu (Head of Business), who shared their valuable insights and expertise with the students. The session aimed to enhance students’ knowledge in MSME development, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy, equipping them with essential skills for their professional journey, and preparing them for real-world challenges. Road Safety Awareness Program
𝙍𝙤𝙖𝙙 𝙎𝙖𝙛𝙚𝙩𝙮 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢 𝙖𝙩 𝙎𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙡𝙖 𝘽𝙞𝙧𝙡𝙖 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙮: The Aakar Club of Sarala Birla University successfully organized a Road Safety Awareness Program on campus to educate students and faculty about safe travel practices. Mr. Jamal Ashraf Khan, District Road Safety Manager addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of road safety and preventive measures. He shared alarming accident statistics and urged everyone to stay cautious while walking or driving. He also highlighted the significance of the golden hour in saving lives after an accident, stressing the need to call an ambulance and transport the injured to a trauma center immediately. Dr. Pankaj Goswami, Dean Engineering & Applied Sciences spoke about the necessity of road safety and emphasised on various awareness initiatives undertaken by the university. The event saw the participation of Prof. Moutoshi Saha, Dr. Utsav Vishal, Dr. Sagar Sarangi, Dr. Mrinal Kr. Singh, along with many faculty members and students. Workshop on Soft Skills
A two-day workshop on soft skills was inaugurated in the university auditorium under the aegis of Mahadevi Birla Institute of Nursing and Clinical Technology (Sarala Birla University). Hon’ble Director General of SBU Prof. Gopal Pathak, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. C. Jeganathan, Registrar Prof. Vijay Kumar Singh, Principal Dr. Subani Bara, Institute Administrator Ashutosh Dwivedi and Vice Principal Meenal Sweta jointly inaugurated the workshop by lighting the lamp. In his address on this occasion, Prof. Gopal Pathak discussed the usefulness of soft skills in ancient times as well as in the new era. He highlighted the indispensability of soft skills in personality development. He also talked about its usefulness in service work. Prof. C. Jeganathan shared the memories of its usefulness during his foreign tour with the audience present. He also advised people of different cultures to respect each other. He termed soft skills as the basis for personality development. On this occasion, Registrar Prof. Vijay Kumar Singh stressed the need for soft skills for new technology and global connectivity. Principal Dr. Subani Bara explained its need in daily life. She also underlined its need in the field of interpersonal communication. In the second session of the workshop, Prof. Rajan Tiwari, Prof. Manoshi Roy, Dr. Sanjeev Srivastava and Ms. Namrata Singh presented their speeches on various topics. On this occasion, Mrs. J. Tanushree Sengupta presented her views on emotional intelligence to the participants. The welcome speech in the program was given by Meenal Shweta and the vote of thanks was given by Ashutosh Dwivedi. Night Sky Observation
A two-day Night Sky Observation Workshop commenced at Sarala Birla University, Ranchi organized in collaboration with Synodic Space Labs. Held on the university campus, the workshop offers participants with a unique prospect to engage in planetary observations while gaining valuable insights into the field of astronomy. Teams from various schools and colleges are taking part in this exciting program. The inaugural occasion was graced by Chief Guest, Hon'ble Director General of SBU, Prof. Gopal Pathak, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. C. Jeganathan, Registrar ,Prof. V K Singh, and Mr. Prakhar Jain, CEO & other experts from Synodic Space Labs. The Hon'ble Pro-Chancellor, Sri. Bijay Kumar Dalan, also extended his best wishes for the success of the program.
At the opening session Mr. Prakhar Jain, CEO of Synodic Space Labs, an expert in the field, offered an inclusive explanation of the mysteries of the universe, sharing his knowledge on a wide range of planetary phenomena. Sarala Birla Memorial Lecture Series – Episode 3 Expert Talk on 'Preamble: Essence of the Indian Constitution' organized at SBU The third episode of the Sarala Birla Memorial Lecture Series was successfully organized by Sarala Birla University (SBU) on 24th Jan, 2025, focusing on the topic "Preamble: Essence of the Indian Constitution." The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Former Hon’ble Dr. Justice, S. N. Pathak, and former Judge of the Jharkhand High Court, who shared his profound insights as the keynote speaker. The occasion was also graced by Hon’ble Director General, SBU, Prof. Gopal Pathak & Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, SBU, Prof. C. Jeganathan. Justice Pathak began his address by emphasizing that "the soul of the Indian Constitution resides in its Preamble. Its significance has been underlined through numerous examples and judicial decisions over the years." He elaborated on the critical role of the Preamble in ensuring the stability of Indian democracy, governance, and an equality-based society. He emphasized that the principles enshrined in the Preamble should not only guide courtroom proceedings but also inspire conduct in daily life.

The event showcased the profound beauty and depth of Indian classical art forms, featuring performances by eminent artists Pandit Ajay Pohankar, Pandit Mithlesh Jha, and Ustad Allarakha Kalavant. The event's primary aim was to promote and preserve India’s rich cultural heritage by providing students and faculty with an opportunity to experience the essence of Indian classical music and arts. The collaboration with SPIC MACAY underscored the university's commitment to nurturing an appreciation for traditional art forms among the youth.

Youth Participation on Climate Change
A workshop on the topic of youth participation on climate change and environmental sustainability was organized today at Sarala Birla University in collaboration with UNICEF. On behalf of UNICEF, WSH Officer Ms. Lakshmi organized a quiz program on the Mentimeter platform. On this occasion, the environment getting polluted continuously in the modern lifestyle was displayed through video presentation. Expressing her views in the program, UNICEF State Chief Dr. Kaninika Mitra shared her views on UNICEF's initiative and commitment on climate change. WSH expert Mr. Premchand called the participation of youth necessary on the changes taking place in the climate. In the program, SBU's Honorable Director General Prof. Gopal Pathak presented his views on climate change in front of the audience present. On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor in charge of the university, Prof. Sridhar Dandin, Registrar Prof. Vijay Kumar Singh, Dr. Arvind Bhandari, Dr. Ashok Asthana, Dr. Sandeep, Dr. Pankaj Goswami, Dr. Aarohi and other teachers and non-teaching staff of the university were present.

International Cyber Security Day
Sarala Birla University, Ranchi organized an Expert Talk on International Cyber Security Day on 4th December 2024. Speaking on this occasion, Chief Guest, former DG of Jharkhand, Mrs. Nirmal Kaur, warned about the increasing cases of cyber security in today's era and gave information about ransomware, phishing and spoofing arising from it. She said that often people share personal and sensitive information with each other, which should be avoided. Along with this, the use of world-class antivirus, and daily monitoring of internet related mediums is equally important. She also warned against clicking on sensitive links and sharing OTP and PIN information. Expressing his views in the program, Hon’ble Prof. Gopal Pathak, Director General of Sarala Birla University, underlined the importance of cyber security and informed the audience about its increasing threat in the world today. He also emphasized the need to keep a close eye on cyber security, so that the activities of cyber criminals can be curbed. On this occasion, Hon’ble Acting Vice Chancellor of the University, Shridhar Dandin, Registrar Prof. V.K. Singh, Dean Dr. Pankaj Goswami, Dr. B. Faculty of Commerce, Sarala Birla University organized an Expert Talk on " Personal Growth – Unlocking Potential for Success in Life." on 2nd December 2024 in G. D. Birla Auditorium. The keynote speaker for the session was Mr. K. Giri, Corporate Speaker, GIMS, Greater Noida, Delhi/NCR who shared tips to unlock the potential which is hidden amongst us. The talk has covered key concepts related to self-improvement, overcoming obstacles, setting goals, and building a mindset that fosters long-term achievement. He has shared insights, tools and strategies that can help people transform their lives and tap into their inner power. To help individuals understand that personal growth is not just about career success, but about holistic improvement across mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Hon’ble Director General of the university Dr. Gopal Pathak gave presidential address. He said that this topic of expert talk is related with each and every one of us. He also said that there are many people around you to demotivate and demoralize you, but you should be having a positive attitude in you like “I Can do it.” Besides, he also added that, a sign of a good student is that, he should never stop asking questions. Higher Study Opportunities and Academic collaboration with Foreign Universities
Faculty of Business Management, Sarala Birla University, Ranchi organized expert talk on 'Higher Study Opportunities and Academic collaboration with Foreign Universities' on 29th November 2024. In his address, Hon’ble Director General, Prof. Gopal Pathak shared detailed information about the different international university collaborations with Sarala Birla University; such as University of California, Berkeley, University of Minnesota, University of Vermont, University of California, San Diego and University of California, Merced. He also said that SBU Ranchi is in pipeline to do MOU with University of Arizona. He explained the importance and benefits that students are getting of this MOU’s and how they can apply for further studies in these international universities.

Voter' Awareness Program
NSS units of Sarala Birla University, Ranchi organized a "Voter' Awareness Program". Assistant collector Mr. Aditya Pandey joined this awareness camp in online mode and five other members headed by Mr. Roshan Kumar addressed the campaign through their physical presence. The also organized a quiz program and given nearly about 25 prizes to the winners of Quiz .students also took oath for casting their votes and make aware to those who do not aware about their voting booths and also to the people who are reluctant about this electoral processes whole campaign was adjourned with vote of thanks of Sapana Kumari of BBA 3rd and welcome speech and anchoring done by Aditi of BBA third and whole program was organized by NSS volunteer Kumar Anmol of BBA 1st sem. In this program the members present were Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Sinha NSS program coordinator, Dr. Komal Gupta HOD law, Sweta Kumari of Management department, Rajeev Ranjan from Law, and many other senior faculties of Law department. A cultural program 'Navaras' was organized on the occasion of Navratri under the aegis of Marketing Club of Sarala Birla University. In his address on this occasion, Hon’ble Director General of SBU Prof. Gopal Pathak emphasized on removing the disorders of one's mind and adopting Sanatan values on the occasion of Navratri. Terming education as incomplete without spirituality, he said that today the whole world has started following the policy of looking towards the East with the aim of imbibing character values. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the University S. B. Dandin advised the students to acquire complete knowledge rather than incomplete knowledge. On this occasion, Dean Dr. Neelima Pathak performed Shakti Vandana and highlighted the significance of worshipping the mother during Navratri. Registrar Prof. Vijay Kumar Singh in his address called upon the youth to take a pledge to fight the evils prevalent in the society.

Seva Se Seekho
Sarala Birla University started the programme ' Seva Se Seekho' under the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign. The chief guest of this programme was the Director General of the University, Prof. Gopal Pathak, along with Vice Chancellor Prof. Shridhar B. Dandin, Registrar Vijay Kumar Singh, Programme Coordinator Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Sinha, Dr. Aarohi Anand, Dr. Pradhan, Dr. Rajiv Ranjan, Prof. Shweta Kumari, Prof. Karan Pratap Singh, Sanjay Kumar were present. In this programme, 200 volunteers took part in the cleanliness drive. The volunteers carried out the cleanliness drive from Sarala Birla University to Mahilong main road.

CODE’NCLONE
The Coding Club of the Computer Science Department (CSE&CA), Sarala Birla University, Ranchi organized a one-day coding competition “CODE’NCLONE” for their students on 27th August 2024. The competition consists of two events, viz.; 1. Website Design and Development, and 2. Competitive Programming (Problem Solving). More than 120 students from the department have participated in the event. The inaugural session started with a briefing about the Coding Club and the event by Dr. Priyanka Srivastava, Convener of the Coding Club, followed by the words of blessing by Dr Biswarup Samanta, Asso. Dean (FoECS) cum HoD-CSE&CA, Dr. Pankaj Kr. Goswami, Dean (FoECS), Dr. V. K. Singh, Registrar, and Prof. S. B. Dandin, Hon. VC (IC), SBU. The program was inaugurated by the Hon VC (IC), SBU. The student coordinator gave a vote of thanks at the end of the inaugural session. After the inaugural session, all the registered participants moved to their respective venues for their participation. Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Dean, C&M, and the FMs and Lab Assistants from the CSE&CA department have also attended the event to make it successful.

RUN FOR UNITY
'Run for Unity' is a marathon dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. It encourages India to run together. On Sardar Patel's 143rd birth anniversary, as per direction of the UGC, New Delhi, Universities were directed to organize "Run for Unity" on 31st October 2018, in the University campus. All the SBU students including faculties took part in the marathon.

SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN
The University observed Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Day on Gandhi Jayanti that is on 2nd October 2018. The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is the most significant cleanliness campaign by the Government of India. A cleanliness pledge led with an aim to achieve the vision of a 'Clean India' by 2nd October 2019. SBU paid its gratitude with a token of few steps towards the same.

FRESHERS' DAY
Fresher's day was organised to welcome the newly admitted students of SBU, Ranchi, focussing on overall development of the students to cope with the increasing pace and change of modern life, students need new life skills such as the ability to deal with stress and frustration. This year the University has observed the Fresher's Day "AVINANDAN 2018" with an objective to create bonding between various students.

Induction Programme was organised at Sarala Birla Campus, Ranchi for all the courses as per the AICTE/UGC norms. Its purpose was to make the students feel comfortable in their new environment, open them up, set a healthy daily routine, create bonding in the batch as well as between faculty and students, develop awareness, sensitivity and understanding of the self, people around them, society at large, and nature.
